$79/year

Unlimited items. Or $9.99 a month.

Export

CSV and Excel. Every plan. Forever.

The real price, before you’ve given me anything.

Three things that are actually different.

  • You don't hit a wall at 100 items.

Sortly’s free plan stops at 100. Its $49/mo plan stops at 500. This one is 250 free, unlimited on Pro.

  • The price you sign up at is the price you renew at.

Sortly’s own footnote: 50% off year one, 20% after. Read the small print yourself — it’s quoted in full on the comparison page.

  • Two phones can't silently lose a count.

Every quantity is a running list of adjustments, not one number that gets overwritten. Wrong quantities are the number-one complaint about every app in this category.

Sortly figures read from sortly.com/pricing, checked 2026-08-21. SolidStock hasn’t launched, so its column describes what it will do at launch, not what it does today.

On their annual discount, Sortly’s own footnote reads: 50% discount applies only to first year of new customer subscriptions. After the first year, a 20% discount applies to all yearly plans. The $49/month column above is the list price, not the promotional first year.

Their pricing page doesn’t mention CSV or Excel export in any tier. That’s silence, not a paywall — we’re not going to tell you it’s locked when we haven’t confirmed it.

The longer comparison with Sortly

Moving over takes about five minutes.

  1. Export

Export a CSV from Sortly, a spreadsheet, anything.

  2. Drop it in

Map the columns and see a preview before anything saves.

  3. Done

Folders become locations. Photos come across. One tap undoes the whole import for 24 hours.

An import that takes you over the 250-item free limit still completes in full. It never truncates your file and never leaves you locked out of your own rows.

What you don't get, at least not at launch.

  • No web or desktop app

It's a phone app. CSV covers the desktop job.

  • No purchase orders or invoicing

    That's a different product.

  • No QuickBooks or Xero sync

    Export to your accountant instead.

  • No label sheet printing

    Scanning works. Printing comes later.

  • No team seats

One person, as many of your own devices as you like.

If one of those is a dealbreaker, you’ve saved yourself an install.

Four things that won't change.

  • Export stays free on every plan, including the free one.
  • No card to try it.
  • Stop paying and you keep reading, editing and exporting your stock. No read-only hostage mode.
  • No price rise without 90 days' notice, and never for anyone who joined early.

The full pricing page, including what would end that promise

One person is building this.

That’s a real risk, so here it is up front. It hasn’t launched. Nobody has used it, so there are no reviews or testimonials on this page. Free export is the insurance policy that makes trusting me reasonable.

Questions.

When?
Build starts this week, roughly eight weeks, then closed beta on both stores. Realistically late autumn. App Review is out of my hands.
iPhone or Android?
Both at launch. If iOS slips, Android ships first and I'll say so.
Do I need a card?
No. There's no trial and no countdown. Free is free.
Does it really work with no signal?
Yes. The database is on your phone, not a cache of it. It syncs when you're back in signal.
What if you quit?
You get notice and you get your data. That's why export is never gated.

Want telling when it’s out?

That's the whole commitment. One email at launch, unsubscribe in one tap. Unsubscribe in one click. I don’t sell or share your address. What I store.
